Project Highlights
Croft Retail Park is a prominent mixed-use development within a busy retail destination, delivering new self-storage and retail trade counter accommodation. The scheme was completed on time and within budget, meeting the expectations of the developer, purchasers and associated land interests while bringing forward a best-in-class commercial product.
The Challenge
The project involved coordinating a wide range of stakeholders and managing complex interfaces within a live retail environment. Key parties included neighbouring businesses, the public, Lok’nStore and its fit-out contractor, the developer, local authorities, highways stakeholders, a partial land purchaser and the Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DNO), which had existing assets on site. Maintaining progress while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders was critical to successful delivery.

We implemented robust project management processes and a comprehensive communication strategy to ensure all parties remained aligned throughout the project lifecycle. By fostering a collaborative environment focused on shared project goals, we proactively managed stakeholder relationships, resolved issues efficiently and coordinated activities across all workstreams to maintain programme certainty.
The Outcome
The development was successfully delivered on programme and within budget, providing high-quality self-storage and trade counter accommodation that was fully let by completion. Caddick Construction delivered an excellent standard of workmanship, including the on-time handover of both the serviced drive-thru plot and the new storage facility to their respective purchasers. The scheme has created new employment opportunities, enhanced the local commercial offering and delivered a high-performing asset for all stakeholders involved.
