Project Highlights
Delivery of the BLVD Hotel, a boutique luxury hotel in Blackpool, supporting the Council’s investment objectives and establishing a new benchmark for high-end accommodation in the town. Completed on programme, the hotel has since become Blackpool’s premier luxury destination and was recognised as the Best Luxury Hotel in Northern Europe in 2023.
The Challenge
The project was delivered on a constrained coastal site, requiring the optimisation of available space while maintaining opportunities for future development and maximising operational capacity within the existing site boundaries. The scheme also faced unique logistical constraints, including accommodating the Pepsi Max rollercoaster, which passes through the hotel car park. Multiple public and private stakeholders added further complexity, requiring careful coordination to align competing priorities and delivery requirements.

The Outcome
The hotel was completed on time and successfully delivered the Council’s vision for a premium hospitality destination. BLVD Hotel has become Blackpool’s leading luxury hotel, hosting the cast and crew of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing on an annual basis and receiving multiple industry awards, including recognition as the Best Luxury Hotel in Northern Europe in 2023. The project enhanced the town’s hospitality offering, created a high-performing commercial asset and demonstrated successful delivery within a challenging site environment.
