Port Salford, Manchester

Project Overview

Location: Manchester

Client: Culina Logistics

Project Highlights

Completion of a 280,000 sq ft, 17m high-bay logistics warehouse in 2015. Delivered as a Design and Build project for Culina Logistics, the scheme included separate building and infrastructure contracts and created a strategically located multi-modal logistics facility.

The Challenge

The project required the coordination of two independent contract packages while maintaining alignment across programme, design and delivery. Integrating the building works with critical infrastructure was essential to ensure the facility could operate effectively as a large-scale logistics hub.

Our Solution

We managed the delivery of the building and infrastructure packages in parallel, providing a coordinated approach across all project stakeholders, including Peel L&P, Buckingham, Fletcher Rae, Tier and Zerum. This ensured that construction and infrastructure works progressed efficiently and remained aligned with the overall project objectives.

The Outcome

The completed development provided Culina Logistics with a modern 280,000 sq ft high-bay warehouse and supporting infrastructure, creating a fully operational multi-modal logistics facility. Successful coordination of the separate contract packages reduced delivery risk and enabled a seamless transition into operation.
